CBG-01 Teacher Professional Development Workshops

 ART + NATURE TEACHER WORKSHOP CO-PRESENTED BY CBG & CMA

Investigate the curricular connections between art and nature with Cleveland Botanical Garden and the Cleveland Museum of Art.

This three-day teacher workshop will use trees, plant structures, and pollinators as the inspiration for observation and description. Attendees will acquire classroom skills and strategies that align with the creative and critical thinking goals of both content areas in the PK-12 curriculum. Participants will engage in hands-on experiences and take-home projects for art and science. We will explore the collections and grounds of the Botanical Garden in the mornings and the galleries and spaces of the Art Museum in the afternoons. Through this workshop, participants will be learn to connect their curricula with the exciting resources available at both institutions.

Cost:

3-day professional development session: $200

1 semester hour graduate credit is available for $109 as an add-on through Dominican University of California
